Sustainability represents a business opportunity, and profitability is a prerequisite for investing in sustainability. Our industry focus serves as a strong foundation for identifying and investing in companies that contribute to solving some of the climate change challenges that the world is facing.

Our Goal

Our goal is to develop our companies into profitable and sustainable enterprises. Consequently, we are dedicated to minimising waste, energy consumption and emissions in our own operations and to providing our customers with real impact and value added sustainability benefits, which will allow them to be successful in their business and sustainability efforts.

Solix has a clear sustainability vision and strategy led by the senior management team. Solix has dedicated sustainability resources to championing and supporting our companies in the implementation of our sustainability goals.

Investment Process and Ownership

Solix incorporates sustainability into the selection of its investments. We assess and evaluates each investment opportunity to ensure that climate related impacts, risks and opportunities are identified and managed throughout the investment process.

Furthermore, Solix has its own ESG functions which supports Solix’ portfolio companies in implementing compliance measures and reporting systems.

Screening
Screening

When screening potential investments, Solix will evaluate the sustainability value creation potential as well as any negative sustainability impacts and risks which cannot be mitigated. Where negative sustainability impacts cannot be mitigated Solix will not invest.

During due diligence, Solix will assess the sustainability maturity level of the potential investment and define the sustainability actions necessary to be compliant with current and future legislation as well as define areas of sustainability value creation.

Ownership

All companies within Solix’ portfolio incorporate sustainability into their business strategies and define actions, goals and KPIs by function and activity.

The objective of this is to ensure that the portfolio companies capture the value potential of sustainability in terms of cost savings from energy efficiency measures and the value potential in providing better and more sustainable products and service offerings to their customers.

We ensure that our management teams are measured on sustainability KPIs as well as other KPIS and financial metrics.
